The procedure is performed under local anesthesia or intravenous sedation for your comfort. Your surgeon makes a small incision in the gum to access the jawbone, then uses a specialized drill to prepare the implant sites. Four titanium implants are carefully placed in the areas of highest bone density, and the gum is sutured closed. In most cases, a temporary set of fixed teeth is attached the same day, allowing you to leave with a functional, natural-looking smile.
