How the Procedure Works
- Before Surgery:
You’ll undergo a comprehensive examination, including a review of your medical history, prior surgeries, and health conditions. Blood tests may be required, and specific instructions will be given regarding medications and lifestyle changes (e.g., stop smoking and controlling diabetes).
- During Surgery:
Performed under general anesthesia, the procedure typically lasts 45-60 minutes. Dr. Tuncay Taş uses precision techniques to ensure the implant is placed correctly. A catheter and surgical drain may be placed, but these will be removed within 1-3 days.
- After Surgery:
You’ll be prescribed antibiotics and pain relievers. The implant will remain semi-inflated for one week, and you'll be taught how to use the pump to achieve a natural erection. Light activities can be resumed within 1-2 weeks, while more strenuous activity should be avoided for up to 6 weeks.
Recovery & Aftercare
- Post-Operative Care:
Our clinic provides a 1-month aftercare kit to aid your recovery. You’ll also receive a personalized aftercare service during your stay in Istanbul.
- Hospital Stay:
A maximum of 2 nights is typically required for recovery, after which you can return home.
- Resuming Activities:
