Important information!

Proper preparation helps your skin respond well to treatment and reduces the likelihood of bruising or irritation. Before your Medical Aesthetics session, keep the following in mind.

  • Avoid blood-thinning medications and supplements, such as aspirin, ibuprofen, and fish oil, for about a week beforehand, unless your doctor advises otherwise.
  • Limit alcohol consumption for 24 to 48 hours prior to your appointment to reduce the risk of bruising.
  • Avoid sun exposure and tanning beds in the days leading up to treatment, as sun-damaged or irritated skin can affect results.
  • Arrive with clean skin, free of makeup, lotions, or other products in the treatment area.
  • Inform your specialist of any allergies, current medications, or recent cosmetic procedures.
  • Stay well hydrated and get a good night's sleep before your appointment.

Each Medical Aesthetics session is planned around your specific goals. On the day of treatment, you can expect the following steps.

  • A brief consultation to confirm the treatment plan and address any last-minute questions.
  • Cleansing of the skin and, if needed, application of a topical numbing cream or cooling device for comfort.
  • Precise administration of the treatment, whether injections, laser passes, or a chemical peel application, performed by an experienced specialist.
  • Immediate post-treatment care, such as applying soothing products or ice as needed.
  • A review of aftercare instructions and, where relevant, scheduling of any recommended follow-up sessions.

Following aftercare guidance helps ensure smooth healing and the best possible results from your Medical Aesthetics treatment.

  • Avoid touching, rubbing, or massaging the treated area for the first 24 hours unless instructed otherwise.
  • Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen daily and limit direct sun exposure, especially after laser or peel treatments.
  • Avoid strenuous exercise, saunas, and steam rooms for 24 to 48 hours to minimize swelling.
  • Refrain from smoking, as it can slow healing and affect skin quality.
  • Stick to a gentle skincare routine and avoid harsh exfoliants or active ingredients until your skin has fully settled.
  • Contact the clinic if you notice unusual swelling, prolonged redness, or signs of infection.
