After agreeing on the details, our medical staff schedule your operation day.
On the day of calf implant surgery, the patient undergoes a carefully planned series of steps to ensure a successful outcome. The process begins with the preparation of the patient for surgery, like anesthesia to ensure comfort and safety throughout the procedure. Once the anesthesia shows its effect, the surgeon proceeds to make incisions in the natural creases or folds behind the knee or at the location strategically chosen for implant insertion, minimizing scarring. The surgeon then creates a space within the tissues of the calf where the implant, shaped to match the patient’s desires and anatomy, will be placed. Depending on the goals of the augmentation, one or more implants can be inserted into each leg to enhance the size, shape, and overall contour of the calves. After the implants are positioned, the incisions are closed with sutures, and the area is bandaged and the surgery is completed.
