Careful preparation helps your Brow Lift go smoothly and supports a comfortable recovery. Your surgeon at Estetik International will give you personalised instructions during your consultation, and the following general guidelines will also help you get ready for your procedure.
- Stop smoking at least 2-4 weeks before surgery, as smoking can impair healing and increase the risk of complications.
- Avoid blood-thinning medications and supplements, such as aspirin, ibuprofen, and certain vitamins, for about two weeks before your procedure, unless your surgeon advises otherwise.
- Arrange for someone to accompany you on the day of surgery and to help you at home during the first day or two of recovery.
- Avoid alcohol for at least 48 hours before your procedure to support healthy healing.
- Wash your face and hair thoroughly the night before or morning of your surgery, and avoid applying makeup, lotions, or hair products.
- Wear a loose, front-buttoning top on the day of your appointment so you can dress comfortably afterwards without pulling anything over your head.

- Keep your head elevated, including while sleeping, for the first week or so to help reduce swelling and bruising.
- Apply cold compresses gently around the forehead and eye area during the first 48 hours, as directed by your surgeon, to ease swelling and discomfort.
- Avoid strenuous exercise, bending over, and heavy lifting for at least 3-4 weeks after your procedure.
- Protect the treated area from direct sun exposure and wear a wide-brimmed hat or sunscreen once your surgeon confirms it is safe to do so.
- Take any prescribed medication as directed, and avoid smoking and alcohol during the initial healing period to support proper recovery.
