Patient Rights

Right to Access Services

Every patient who applies to our hospital has the right to benefit from all available diagnostic and treatment services in the best possible way, regardless of their physical, intellectual, or social characteristics.

Right to Respect and Dignity

Patients have the right to receive diagnosis and treatment in a respectful, courteous, compassionate, and friendly environment while preserving their individual dignity at all times.

Right to Privacy

Respect for the patient's privacy is fundamental in our hospital. Patients may also explicitly request additional measures to protect their privacy. All medical interventions are carried out with full respect for patient confidentiality.

Right to Consent and Approval

After being adequately informed, patients and their relatives have the right to accept, refuse, or request the discontinuation of a proposed treatment.

Right to Information

Patients may request that their medical condition not be disclosed to themselves, their relatives, or anyone else. This request must be documented in writing and can be changed at any time by the patient. Additionally, patients and their families have the right to receive information about how to donate organs or tissues. Organ donation is a medical procedure based solely on voluntary consent. Upon request, patients are referred to the Ministry of Health’s official organ donation centers.

Right to Know the Identity of Healthcare Providers

Patients have the right to know the names and roles of all healthcare professionals involved in their care throughout the treatment process.

Right to Communication

Patients with language barriers have the right to request a translator who can communicate in their native language throughout their treatment.

Right to Consultation

Patients may request a consultation with another specialist at their own expense. However, any treatment recommended as a result of this consultation will be carried out by the medical personnel of our facility only if there is agreement between the consulting physician and the primary physician.

Right to a Second Medical Opinion

Patients have the right to receive additional information regarding their health condition from another physician in the same specialty, apart from the doctor already treating them.

Right to Choose Healthcare Personnel

Patients have the right to choose and change their responsible doctor, nurse, or other healthcare personnel.

Right to Refuse Planned Treatment

Except in legally mandated situations, and assuming full responsibility for any potential consequences, patients have the right to refuse or discontinue any treatment planned or currently underway.

Right to Know Hospital Rules

Patients have the right to be informed about hospital policies and procedures. They may also request corrections to any documentation related to their diagnosis, treatment process, or billing.

Right to Safety

Patients have the right to feel and be safe within our hospital. All necessary measures are taken to protect the life and property of patients and their visitors.

Right to Know the Cost of Treatment

Patients have the right to know the cost of treatment in advance and to receive a clear, itemized invoice upon request.

Right to Submit Complaints, Feedback, and Suggestions

Patients and their families have the right to initiate a complaint, request its review, receive a response, and be informed of the outcome.

Right to Choose and Change Healthcare Facility

Patients have the right to choose or change healthcare institutions in accordance with the regulations and procedures defined by the laws of the Republic of Turkey.

Right to Fulfill Religious Obligations

Provided that it does not interfere with treatment and regardless of religious differences, patients have the right to freely perform their religious practices. Measures are taken to ensure the safety of both patients and their companions during such observances.

Right to Accept Visitors

Patients have the right to accept visitors in accordance with the rules and visiting hours established by the hospital.

Patient Responsibilities

Responsibility to Provide Accurate Information

Patients are responsible for providing accurate and complete information about their medical history, existing complaints, previous treatments, medications used, and any changes in their condition to the physicians, psychologists, and nurses responsible for their care.

Responsibility to Report Infectious Diseases

Patients who are diagnosed with or suspected of having an infectious disease are responsible for informing healthcare staff accordingly.

Responsibility for Infection Control

Patients and their families are expected to follow all recommended precautions to prevent the spread of infectious diseases.

Responsibility to Follow Medical Advice

Patients are obligated to comply with the treatment plan proposed by their doctor and to allow the healthcare staff to implement their care plan as instructed.

Responsibility to Show Respect

Patients are expected to act respectfully within the healthcare facility and avoid disturbing others through noise, inappropriate visitor behavior, or any other disruptions. Compliance with hospital rules and regulations is required.

Responsibility to Follow Visitor Guidelines

Patients and their visitors must comply with the hospital’s designated visitation rules and procedures.

Responsibility for Damages

In the event of intentional or negligent damage to hospital property or medical supplies, patients are financially responsible for compensation.

Responsibility to Comply with Hospital Rules

Patients must abide by all institutional rules and procedures established by the hospital.

Responsibility to Cover Treatment Costs

At the time of admission, patients must declare how and by which institution or entity their medical expenses will be covered. They are responsible for paying any fees within the timeframe set by the institution.
