Unlike breast reduction, it's primarily focused on creating a more youthful breast contour rather than reducing size.

- Ensure your surgeon is board-certified in plastic surgery, indicating they have the necessary training and expertise.
- Be prepared to provide a detailed medical history, including any medications, supplements, and previous surgeries.
- You should stop taking certain medications, such as aspirin, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), and supplements that can increase bleeding risk, several weeks before the surgery.

Before the procedure, you will have a consultation with your doctor to discuss your goals, outcomes.
After agreeing on the details, our medical staff schedule your operation day.
- The medical staff starts by administering anesthesia to ensure the patient's comfort during the procedure.
- Making incisions: The pattern and length of the incisions depend on the degree of lift required and the patient's anatomy. Common incisions patterns are: Around the areola (periareolar), Around the areola and vertically down to the breast crease (lollipop), Around the areola, vertically down to the breast crease, and horizontally along the breast crease (anchor).
- The surgeon reshapes and lifts the underlying breast tissue to improve breast contour and firmness.
- The nipple and areola are moved to a more youthful height. If necessary, the size of the areola can be reduced by excising skin at the perimeter.
- Sagging is corrected by removing excess skin and tightening the remaining skin to support the newly shaped breasts.
- The incisions are brought together to reshape the now uplifted breast.
- The incisions are covered with dressings or bandages. In some cases, a tube might be temporarily placed under the skin to drain any excess blood or fluid.
After your breast lifting operation, your surgeon will provide instructions on how to care for your breasts, medications to apply or take orally to aid healing, and reduce the risk of infection:
- You will likely be instructed to wear a surgical support bra or a compression garment around the clock for several weeks. This helps reduce swelling and supports the new breast shape during the healing process.
- Take prescribed pain medication or over-the-counter pain relievers as recommended by your surgeon to manage discomfort.
- Ensure you get plenty of rest and sleep with your upper body elevated to reduce swelling.
- Avoid strenuous activities, heavy lifting, and vigorous exercise for at least 4-6 weeks or as advised by your surgeon.
- Keep the incision areas clean and dry. If you have drains, follow instructions for draining and measuring the fluid.
- Avoid smoking and alcohol consumption, as it can create complications and alter the healing process.
- Scars will improve over time but can take up to a year or more to fade significantly.
