Important information!

Genetic testing requires very little preparation, but a few simple steps help ensure an accurate sample and a smooth consultation.

  • Avoid eating, drinking, smoking, or chewing gum for at least 30 minutes before a saliva sample is collected.
  • Stay well hydrated in the days before your appointment to support easy, comfortable sample collection.
  • Gather any relevant family health history, as this can help your specialist interpret your results more precisely.
  • List current medications and supplements so they can be considered alongside your genetic findings.
  • Come with an open list of health, fitness, nutrition, or skincare goals you would like the test to address.

The testing appointment is quick, comfortable, and requires no anesthesia or downtime.

  • A brief consultation to review your health history and personal goals with a specialist.
  • Collection of a saliva or cheek swab sample (or a blood sample when required) in a few simple minutes.
  • Secure labeling and dispatch of your sample to an accredited genetic testing laboratory.
  • A short review of what to expect during the analysis period and how results will be communicated.
  • Scheduling of your follow-up consultation to discuss your personalized results once ready.

There is no physical recovery involved, but making the most of your genetic results takes a little follow-through.

  • Resume all normal daily activities immediately, as the test has no impact on your routine.
  • Attend your results consultation to have your genetic report explained in clear, practical terms.
  • Apply the personalized nutrition, fitness, skincare, or medication guidance provided by your specialist gradually and consistently.
  • Share relevant findings with your primary physician if the report highlights disease risk factors requiring monitoring.
  • Keep a copy of your genetic report for future reference, as it remains valid for life.
  • Schedule periodic reviews with your specialist to reassess your plan as your health goals evolve.
